The Universal Smart Platform for monitoring and control.
NetThings ™ is an “internet of things” company that has developed the first internet based, universal platform for both domestic and business customers. The intuitive, easy-to-use system provides smart control and energy monitoring, empowering users to change their behaviour and environment.
While NetThings has multi-sectoral application the company has focussed initial product development on the energy market and has developed two core products for launch early 2015 – Energy Manager and Building Manager.
Our platform is ultra flexible and future-proof, designed to suit multiple industry sectors, however our first product from this platform is a low cost, easy-to-use energy management system for small buildings.
It connects to all utilities within the building and also sub-meters the electrical system. This data is then shown in real-time on engaging local displays or your own smart phones using WiFi as well as, where required in the cloud for additional users.
The system profiles energy consumption and alerts users on exceeding those limits.
The system is designed to deliver simple controls, enabling building users to power off high consumption equipment, helping save money off their utility bills.
Additionally, the company is providing German heat-metering giant, iSTA, with a customised solution for monitoring and controlling District Heat systems in the fast growing UK market and has signed a commercial agreement for several thousands of units including an initial order valued at £350 K.
Trials are also underway with many national organisations, including banking, retail and multi-national FM company mitie. There have also been requests from the big six energy giants for trials. Currently NetThings is a major provider of energy monitors for Taylor Wimpey and other national house building companies and there are forward sales in excess of 16,000 units specified into new UK house-builds worth over £5 million.
In addition a collaboration with a US global power management company to develop a platform for use across building access and security and incorporating energy monitoring is due to commence.
Finally, NetThings is also planning to develop products for assisted living, smart homes, smart cities and many other markets. We are interested in speaking to companies with experience and customers in these these other markets
